Your Local Chicken Farmer

Farmer & Owner

For years, I was a pharmaceutical scientist, but I felt disconnected. My body was telling me to trade fluorescent lights and processed food for something real. Even though I grew up on my grandparents' homestead, I never realized how dramatic the difference between local and grocery store food was until I returned to eating farm fresh.

Quality food changes how you feel in your mind and your body. That realization is what started Grounded Hands Farm.

Now that I raise my own food, I don’t want anything else. There is so much pride in the cultivation of what we eat. I can actually feel that connection at every meal. My goal is to help you feel that same pride and confidence in your own kitchen.

I’m here to guide you, so if you have never roasted a whole chicken, I will walk you through it. I will show you how to get the best flavor from your chicken and how to make the best broth from the bones. Nothing goes to waste. Believe me, it will be something to brag about!

Accountant by day and home economist by night. I'm always looking to find ways to improve the quality and clarity of my life and those around me.

Growing up eating only grocery store food, the first time I harvested and consumed a pasture raised chicken with Bec, I realized that for the first time, I knew exactly what was in my food... I could actually feel good about what I was eating.

I always get excited about the delicious, locally raised food that I'm able to cook, consume, and share with others. I truly hope that all of my neighbors and friends can experience the same feelings I do when enjoying their first pastured chicken.

I have to give a shout out to my behind the scenes team. I have a very supportive network of family and friends, especially Mom and Dad, who aren't afraid to get dirty right alongside me!
